Art in the Garden
On Saturday, August 10, 2013 the Ballard P-Patch will host its 13th Annual Art in the Garden Event. This year the event hours will be 11am to 5pm. The Garden will be at its peak, with flowers and vegetables galore. We promise lots for everyone to see and do. Among the activities will be an expanded number of artists selling their work, as well as art demonstrations happening throughout the day. An acoustic stage with music all day adds to the festival. Children’s activities include sign painting and creating marbled paper. We host a silent auction, a bake sale, pie-auction, flower sale, and a beer garden. This year we hope to have some exciting food options for your enjoyment.
Our event will coincide with the American Community Garden Association’s national convention, which will be held in Seattle this year, and we look forward to hosting guests from all over the country. This is also the city wide P-Patch’s 40th Anniversary. Art in the Garden is the primary fund-raiser for the Ballard P-Patch, and supports our Giving Garden for the Ballard Food Bank, as well as our on-going efforts to improve the garden and to maintain it for the entire community.
